I don't know why they wouldn't work. I know a guy who sunk artificial weeds off the end of his dock for crappie fishing. He wired them up to cinder blocks and sunk them. They hold panfish like nothing I have ever seen.

do you think they would work right away or take a couple hours to draw fish? i am usually pretty mobile if no fish i keep moving.

I know of a few guys that swear by them. Normally it doesn't take very long for the fish to be attracted to the new structure. If you have them I would certainly give it a shot.

You could use aquarium plants to make your own.

Ive used them and like them,

I noticed that when you get a school of perch to roam through, you will get them to hold a little while longer. Allowing you to pick one or two more off before they school away again.

The only issue is with baitfish come predators, which isn't a bad thing. Till he gets wrapped up in the fake weeds. But overall I like them, especially on mud flats with little to no structure.
Jesus was said to have walked on water, I feel comfort in knowing he was an avid ice fisherman like me.

I know of people who have tied together old xmas trees and cement blocks on last ice. Marked with a gps. Spring comes around and you have a nice little spot. And its still there next winter.
Not exactly legal in every state, just sayin I've seen it. ::)

Happens around here a lot. The sportsman's clubs get them from the landfill and sink them wherever they want them. I like them unless I'm trolling cranks is summer.

And i'm sure in some states it will land you in a boat load of trouble. Personaly, I have no problem with it.

That's one reason I have my location in my profile. There are some states where farting crosswise will get ya in trouble. ;D

I have Reel Weeds on my camera cord and it seems to help. Fish were sometimes spooked by the camera, it looks lime a big sunfish.

The Real weeds help keep the pike from trying to gnaw at my fish looking camera.  I guess if a big enough one swallows it though, I will be able to see what they are feeding on without gutting it.......  Happy trails.

I made my own from aqarium fake weeds. I have some on my camera cord and it has helped tons, sometimes the fish hang out in them. Also use them around my shanty, usually in a U pattern with the tent in the center. Really holds fish, specially when there is not much cover/structure.
