I would think Sheridan should have some ice, not sure what condition after this weekend. Deerfield should have good ice too, but access is a real b#@$h. Lots of snow on the ice and slush under. I'd say if the weather is doing what it is supposed to for the rest of this week, fishing will be all but over by April 1, maybe even March 24.

Did a tour of the greater CSP area today. Lakota is iced over, but it's waaayyyyy thin. Center is opening up in spots. Legion is iced over but it looked sketchy at best. Bismarck looked like it had a couple solid spots left, road in had quite a bit of snow left. Stockade was iced over and looked to have a couple small spots that are protected and don't get much sun with good ice left, but out in the middle it was getting pretty dark. If you do venture out, be careful. I'm not sure the fishing is good enough to risk it right now anyway.

Has anyone been out and around Sheridan or Pactola this week?  I'm betting Pactola is prolly done with.  I'm going to check Sheridan out tomorrow unless someone has a ice report on it, plan B would be Deerfield.

Sheridan and Pactola are shot. Checked out the boy scout lake, it was sketchy. Figured Deerfield would be the same size I scouted Turkeys and looked for sheds for the rest of the afternoon.  Guess its time to put everything up...  >:(

I fished Deerfield, Stockade, and Bismark yesterday. CSP is pretty much done for. Only a few edges to get on at without waders or planks. The ice is really soft once on it. Deerfield is still thick but edges are getting slushy fast. With only one night below freezing this week next weekend could be the end. I caught enough perch at all three lakes to call it a season though. Already dreaming of first ice!

I'm ready myself. Have a deck and a storage shed to build, redo the backyard sprinklers, sod, shrubs, flower beds, etc. Just finished re-finishing an office in the lower level for Mrs wyoutdoors too. Need some alone time on the ice now lol.

Nope, not yet lol

Daughter and grandson came to visit from Texas. Then there's work. And of course all the sorting through jigs, spoons, etc. and getting my list ready before first ice comes. Ya'll know how fast that arrives and we don't want to procrastinate!  ;D

I think I'm gonna have to get my wood pile done in this blasted heat. I don't expect it will let up now that it's August. Last year winter was so mild tho that I still have a good amount left. Hope we get a good cold one this year.    I caught some bass and a pike yesterday. Having pike for supper tonight!!!
