flywheel removal

I'm trying to get the flywheel off my old model 30, everything above it is off. It will not budge, what am I missing guys? Thanks.

U need a flywheel puller. (Not trying to be smart *** but that's the name of the tool) the flywheel is hard to remove because its being held in place with magnets. On top u should She 3-4 holes with threads tapped in that nothing attaches to. Those holes are for the tool. Most any small engine shop will have it or a harbor freight if one is accessible

Well I used the knock off method and the engine seems to turn harder, did I just turn my auger head into an anchor?

Drain the oil and the gas first.

Looks like we just lost our ice here again for the second time before things really got started. Let me know if things don't work out with your auger. I could always load things up here and head that way. I've got an Eskimo that hasn't seem much run time.
