first time at the berry..... help!!!!!!

hey guys we are headed up to the berry tuesday morning, never fished there,dont know where to go..other than passed heber,,,any help would be great...and also what is the regs on the slot limit...we have been fishing the rock do we need anything different...taking the grand daughter so some fish would be nice...

The marina can be hot at times and I have fished there a few times, you just need to try and find where they're movin thru. We did real well at chicken creek east in 14-16ft of water last friday. It was a spot I scoped out this last fall in the boat. We were a good half mile down the shore against a steep hill. I would be careful on the ice as the slush could be gettin pretty deep. Better to fish early morn why Its still cold. If your takin your granddaughter I would make sure to take an extra set of clothes and shoes. Drill holes and check ice thickness before you venture too far and remember you have to walk back thru anything that gets too soft if it does. Gotta luv this time of year tryin to get the last ice trips in. All the same trout stuff from the rock should work just fine. I was doin best on white atomic tubes tipped with crawler or waxie didn't seem to matter. They were comin thru about evry 15-20 mins. Regs I think are all cuts between 15-22in need to be released. we ended up at the marina...four caught many missed using small tube jigs tiped w/worms and pink power nuggets... 20'' of ice and 6'' of slush..not bad for a first trip..might try again on friday...
