My own mix from circa 1979.....a great rib rub. Terrific on chicky, too. Perk up your meat!!!!
Reb’s Rib Rub3 Tbsp fine salt
2 Tbsp mexican style chili powder
2 Tbsp smoked or paprika
2 Tbsp onion powder
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp coarse black pepper
1/2 Tbsp cayenne pepper (may omit)
1/2 Tbsp smoked chipotle pepper
1 Tbsp finely chopped cilantro
1/2 Tbsp ground cumin
2 Tbsp brown sugar
Mix well and lightly grind. Store in a GLASS container.
Combine all ingredients in a glass bowl and mix well, grinding with a pestle if available. Store in airtight glass shaker jar.
