bloody beers
« on: Feb 10, 2012, 06:27 PM »
been mixing cheap beers with generic V-8 and a few shots of chipolte hotsauce for years around here in a big tall glass.  have shifted to the ice beers for the higher octane.   if you want to kick them up a bit, use a 28 ounce tumbler, add a couple shots of cheap vodka along with the beer, V-8 and hotsauce.    it's not incorrect to add ice cubes either.  works well year round and makes an OK breakfast if you have a hangover.

I have been mixing beer and tomato juice or v8 for years first I put salt and pepper in the bottom of the glass then add some juice a little less than 1/2 a glass then I start to pour the beer until its just right, that's the hard part for most people is knowing when its just right, just the right amount of each. give it a try on a hot day

Those are called Tomboys. At least they were when I was a bartender in 1979. Sunday morning special. Add a raw egg and worcestershire sauce to make it breakfast. Normal drink for real guys back then.

Yeah, these are not for me - heartburn city, have no pity! lol
BUT, I have a couple relatives that swear by them....and use spicy V8 in them in lieu of the hot sauce.

They are pretty tasty. I just couldn't handle them for years after making so many for the hung-over Sunday morning crowd with tap beer.  Bloody Mary was better for me.

Beer and Clamato juice.  A food group in Canada.

Ceasers also in that group. ( Salt rim, vodka or gin, worchestire, franks red hot, Clamato and ice.  I like a slice of cucumber if using Gin! Awesome.)

cucumbers make me burp but, a shot of dill pickle juice or a nice homemade dilly bean would would well IMO. thanks for your input. got me to thinking.
