Clear Lake
« on: Feb 12, 2012, 10:39 AM »
I'm going up to the Islands to hang with some friends next weekend and usually fish the river. We will be bouncing around instead and we have a buddy of a buddy that has a cottage on Clear Lake. Does anyone know anything about the ice fishing there? What fish is the most prevelant other than the Bass? Stay shallow or go deep? Walleye population good?
Any answers can also be instant messaged me. Thanks

Lots of little pike and from what ive heard from locals is the walleye fishing isnt very good. Might want to try butterfield.

I've heard they are really catching a lot of nice walleye there this winter.

That would be news to me, I live on clear and the walleyes have been non existent for the past couplke of years.  I havent heard of a single one coming out of there this year.  I am not trying to contradict anyone here but they have been very scarce for a while there.  Where did you hear that?  maybe i missed something.
