Slow but good day at the Mile today
« on: Feb 13, 2012, 04:36 PM »

Fished the Mile today. Barometric pressure was as low as yesterday when I left so I figured it was going to be a slow day,and it was.Saw three trout by 8AM. Finally caught a 14" bow to beat the skunk.
Caught a 20" pike at 10:30AM. Played keep away with a few stockers through the day. Caught a nice 28" pike about 11:30AM. The winds kicked in after 11AM.Caught a 18" bow about 1PM.Was the
largest trout I saw all day.Left at 2PM. A front was moving in and it was just starting to snow when I left.Tight lines.

Way to go Coboy!  I'm jealous of that pike!  I still have 9 waterdogs that have made ten trips to the ice with no pike to show for it.  Not interested in waterdogs this year.  One went nose-to-nose with it at Williams Fork too - no takers!  I need to taste some pike!  But I'm glad that you can get out so often.  Keep the reports coming!
