Went for a walk out on the bay this afternoon.  Counted 33 bob houses out to and just past Sandy Point.  Also two trucks, three people fishing, two people (older couple) out for a walk, one airplane and a partridge in a pear tree.  New (since last weekend anyhow) pressure ridge about half way between Sandy Point and Echo Point.  A couple of shacks on the other side of it too.  It is crossable right now but may not be if it grows/splits any further.  Out past Sandy Point out to the pressure ridge (that's as far as I went on foot) a pretty consistent 5-6" of ice - see pics below.  Not too crowded out there yet but I imagine the numbers will grow significantly tomorrow and Saturday.  Hope people stay smart and don't start driving on the ramp - it is good right now but won't last if too many vehicles cross over it.

About 20 yrds from the pressure ridge:

Oh, and "your welcome" to whoever left this right off Sandy Point (where it looks like a shack was just removed):

Good luck out there all - stay safe.

You count your years by the Winters.

It’s not being Cocky if you can back it up.

There were several spots where the ice was frozen solid with about 6-8" of pretty good ice but it looked like a jigsaw puzzle with the different shades of color in the ice.

Snow and cold temps forecasted for the weekend. Snow on the ice will definitely cover up the bad spots and make things decieving!
Be Careful out there! Have your ice picks with you and chisel to check as you go as people have mentioned on other threads!
