Eskimo says fat fish fixed!
« on: Feb 01, 2012, 03:24 PM »
Just got off phone with Eskimo  ( feb 1st) and they said they have addressed the issues with their fat fish. ( hubs and cheap bag issue)

Just wondering if any of you have bought one this year and can attest to this fix.  I really want one but don't want the grief.

Regards. Ø

I have a FF 767 and love it!  I have had no problems with the hubs or the bag.

It will probably be next years huts. I talked to Red Rock store and they said the hubs were bad and the bags were a joke. I would think if Eskimo had address this it would be in next years model year. I was wanting to get a 949i and I guess they have the most problems(hubs&bags). I'm going to wait till and see what changes have been made especially since my season is over already :(

They sure did.
Yep. Mine has 2 hub poles that are slightly too long under the doors.

Post picture of the walls on the sides which have doors.
Many of us have bowed poles due to the 2 under the doors being too long.

No wonder they're having problems with the bags...the shelter is almost too big for it. It's a 2 man job to get it in the bag. No other problems though with my 949I.

I keep having one of the poles pop out of the hub on my 949 . Happens maybe every three four times I set it up. Also have the bowing at the doors.

AHA!  Thanks for the heads up and the fix.  I got a 949 and the bag was sewn improperly right at the anchor point for the carry strap.  :cookoo: I have an industrial sewing machine ant the bag was an easy fix.  I noticed the curved wonky poles as well but I thought it was just the way it is.
Pole  shortening is on the menu.

Wow, can tell I haven't been on here for a while.  I noticed the exact same things.  Had mine out 1 times this year and the bag is already ripped and I have the bowing of the bottom poles!

Will Eskimo fix this?
