Gull or Sylvan?
« on: Jan 31, 2012, 09:06 AM »
Hello,

Looking to go out this weekend. Not sure whether to target Gull or Sylvan. Any suggestions for a newbie. Anyone else heading out as I would not mind meeting some of you guys and gals and putting a face to the postings.

Thanks

I would love to come out and get a few holes punched for some fishing! However, work means money. As for your debate on which lake to hit... Stop at whichever one is closer to home first. If the fishing sucks, pack up and head to the other. I do it all the time.

Good call Swampy, those lakes are close enough together to hit both for sure...

You know it TravIce! An it's funny how much the fishing will differ between the two lakes some days...

Its a toss up! If you're after whites, they are much larger on average in Gull than in Sylvan but my personal experience is that I see and catch quite a few more fish in Sylvan that Gull.  I've seen nice jacks in both lakes this year although I don't go after them. ???
