Shawn did you try your blade on your brothers hand auger?  Might be your brother will like your blade better then his.
I don't know how many tanks you've run through your Nils but after brake in you'll notice and improvement.
Is it possible you got a blade that is too aggressive, yes but I haven't

After my brake in I wasn't happy with the power so I went a head and inspected and cleaned the carb.
Main Jet is a 38.  The part number(main jet (38) I posted earlier in this thread is for the older Nils without the brake which comes with a 37 main jet and will not work in the newer Nils with a brake.

I had a little bit of white residue and after the cleaning the carb and main jet,  length of warm up required before the auger would cut was reduced and I had better power with no bog using the same blade before the cleaning.

sharp nils, 2 years ago I rebuilt the carb on my tanaka for the same reason.  Its happening again.  any shortcuts, or just rebuild the new thing again with a new diaphram, ect?

No i didn't try that, but I have a hand crank and could give it a try this week.  Talked with Nils today and was told to send the head to you so I will get it in mail here soon.  They are going to let you decide what is wrong with it.  I did however order another blade to have as backup, they were nice enough to give me a good discount for all the trouble I have had with it.

bigredonice,  you don't need to replace the diaphragms and needle and seat(inlet valve)when all that is needed is cleaning.
Its an easy carb to take off and clean and I often don't disconnect the throttle from the body either.
The jet and circuits are so small that just a little bit of restriction will make a big difference especially when the little Tanaka is asked to turn an aggressive 8" blade.   That would be my shortcut and it is only a half hour job tops.

gemcityslayer, thanks its good to be here.
