Good Morning on Lake Joe
« on: Feb 15, 2012, 03:06 PM »
Had a great opening day on Lake Joseph in Muskoka.  Started fishing around 9:00 and had our limit of 5 (3 guys, one conservation license) lakers all about 3lbs by 10:45.  Caught in 60 FOW all on minnows.  Missed three on a Herring and two jigging.

Welcome to the site JS Nest - sounds like a good day out.  You get any pics?

Thanks for the welcome.  I'm not a picture kind of guy.  Mostly because I never remember to take a camera and I'm not into all this new high-tech phone stuff.   Went out again this morning and limited out by just about the same time.  Fish were also in the same size range.

Good to hear, how was the ice thickness where you were fishing?

Ice was a good 10"-15" but I did here there are still open sections in the main lake.  Also with the milder than normal weather, the bubblers have made a lot of open water along the shore line.
