Not the best picture, but this was on Keweenaw bay Feb. 2011 over about 50ft of water sight fishing herring and coho salmon.

Heres a small laker over 50' of water as well, afew feet below the ice.  I've had a lot bigger ones come by but then I'm busy trying to catch them intead of taking pictures.

Love the site fishing. Nothing so exciting as watching the catch.

Very cool, out lake has 15" ice and you cannot see the bottom let alone a fish.

Weird to see a laker suspended so much like that. I catch them in 250ft of water on the bottom. Bucktail jig with cut bait it looks like.

I'm no expert, just experimented last year with this, but I found with mine it was best to set it on some type of manual mode so you can adjust the exposure till you get the lighting right, turn off the flash, and set it to burst mode so you get at least 3 pics as everything happens so fast.  Experiment first with taking pictures of a good sized jig or spoon, to set your camera right for when a fish comes in.   Actually on this lake to show its clarity and with my marcum for exact depths I took pictures of my jig starting at 10ft down, then 20, 30, and 40 ft, and I've actually got pics of my jig at a little over 40', but I should of used a flashy spoon though as it would have worked a bit better.

Very cool, but you won't catch me on 4" of "white" ice. I like it a lil darker ;)

I never get pictures with fish in them because I always get distracted trying to catch them! 15' of water under the shack and we get bigguns like this! First pic has two 15+"ers and the bottom is 16.75"
