Had a good day on the ice. Ice was 5-6" in the north boat ramp bay and just ten steps away toward the main lake body it dropped to just over 2" thick or so. Ice was making all day and it was dang cold to start with. Breakfast at Hickock House in Deadwood started the day right! Fish were hitting fast just as we started then slowed down later in the day. A few northerns, a few browns and only one laker. appleye's tip-ups were prestty active to start with, and I stuck with PK Lures for my browns (60fow) and a small northern (38fow).
