Does anyone know how the fishing is & what the ice conditions are on lower or upper Twin?

I have a friend that lives out on lower twin and says there is a lot of people fishing it.  Don't know what they are catching.  It should be good on edges by this weekend.

During this last warm spell there was open water out a ways from the boat ramp on Lower Twin.  I have driven by it several times this winter and never saw safe ice on that part of lower twin.  Some people have been fishing lower twin in the bay by the narrow channel between the two lakes.  Saw some guys there today.   Upper twin has about 6" of ice and there were a few people fishing it today also.

I checked the ice off of the end of the dock at Lower Twin Tue. It was 3.5 in thick. I said to hell with it & headed to upper twin. The Ice was 6in thick. After fighting the wind for about a hour I left. I went back to upper Twin yesterday and caught 21 Small perch & a nice Bass. I found a new trick I lowered a glow stick in a hole about 4 feet from my main hole. It seemed to attract the fish. I'm going to do that more often. :icefish:

Screw the perch unless they are for bait and fish for pike.  If you want perch go to la la land.
Course now that I moved to fl. I don't know for sure how the bite is but over the years I have fished up there twin is a bust for perch for size unless you are willing to move of have good knife skills.
