Boots for my daughter
« on: Dec 03, 2011, 07:22 PM »
Looking for any suggestions on warm kids boots and hopefully not a boy's boot cause I tried that. Found a decent pair for my son but I'm having little luck finding some for my 5 year old daughter except the boys selection. Kids size 13

Bought some Bogs for my son. Still to test on the ice but at Thanksgiving 4" of wet snow testing proved hopeful. His sister's Sorels came in soaked while his boots survived several outings. They have a rating of -30° and come in patterns for the little ladies.

Both of my boys had the Kamik Rockets last year and they did well.  By the end of the season they did let in a little water, but for the most part they stayed dry through the winter.

As campfindit posted, Bogs makes a boot called the McKinley, which is fully waterproof and rated to -30 F.  I bought these for my oldest this year and so far they have been great.  He has been deer and duck hunting with me a dozen times, even in the swamp and I have not heard any cold or wet feet complaints yet.  It looks like Cabela's offers them in purple and right now they are on sale.  I would highly recommend these.

I have issues finding boots for my boy. The only decent boots i can find are the Kamik rockets. They work good but by the end of the day the felt liners are soaked with sweat and his feet get cold.

Check these out, most come in different colors. Prices are in Canadian $'s and can be found cheaper.

We bought our grand daughters some pink pac boots at the local tractor supply. They are the same boot I wear, only in little girl sizes and color.
