You will get a lot people saying Mucks are the best.  I bought that and went with the Arctic Pro's this year.  they are awesome boots, very comfy and light, great for walking, etc - BUT - they aren't that warm.  The sole is too thin, and if you sit on the ice for hours with your feet on the ice, the cold will get to your feet.  A quick 5 min walk and they're warm again, but I wish someone would've told me that before I bought them.

Don't get me wrong, they are GREAT boots, but they need a thicker sole.   Doubled up some very thick socks and my feet don't feel the cold for about 2-3 hours of sitting, but it does get through eventually.

I'm not saying this is the problem but, I have suffered with cold feet forever, no matter what boots I wore and how much I spent on them.
Then a friend told me my problem was I was wearing to warm of a boot, which caused my feet to sweat walking around and to almost feel like they were freezing off when I sat for a while.

Now I wear Irish Setter- Elk Trackers 860's (1000 gram) with Smart Wool socks. They are only slightly bigger then a non-insulated leather boot. They are  waterproof, warm, and very comfortable.
(Danner Pronghorns are very nice too but i didn't like the glued on sole & went with the elk trackers for the stitched on sole)
I spent 10 hrs on the ice this last Saturday, with up to 4in of water & 8in of snow on top of the ice (14in). I can honestly say my feet got slightly chilled but never cold. (My friend was right! )

This is my second pair and they are going on 2 seasons of being worn at-least 6 days a week for work and play.   But now I need a pair of 400 or 600 gram because I've realized on warm days these are still to much & make my feet sweat.

baffin impacts. Wear them in the canadian cold all winter, and I have broken toes which cause circulation issues. not cheap, but great boots.
