North Hero/The islands

Has anyone been out yet in this area? heading up there on the 13th and wanted to get an idea of the conditions. Any info is apprecaited. Just hoping there is plenty of ice by then.. forcast looks good for making ice next 10 days.

Yup its going pretty well so far. There is a a good pike and panfish bite going on. You will have plenty of ice when you get here to choose a location.

8" black ice at carry bay, people taking wheelers out to the passage, bite is slow today, thank good for whiskey

I hope the landowner doesn't mind people taking atv's out there.  I heard he flipped on some people who had drove vehicles out there.  Lazy fisherman are what causes places like that to end up posted.  We're lucky to be able to access that bay from there.  Two years ago I was out there and two vehicles came out just to talk to some fisherman.  They weren't even fishing but driving around drinking beer.

I didnt think you could drink in vermont lol  What place are you talking about? Holiday Harbor?  Is there any snow on the lake in North Hero area?
