Call me crazy but this warm weather is giving me the itch to get back on the river and do some catfishing! I spend the majority of my open water fishing on the rivers and only you diehard catfishermen can understand where I'm coming from. Don't get me wrong though, I'd love to get some ice! I've gotten out a few times already so I got my initial ice itch taken care of! I do feel bad for you people who haven't made it out yet. Gotta love catchin the cats' tho!

I hear ya.  Anything is better than sitting at home waiting for the weather to go cold.  Can't believe I'm asking for colder weather   I fish Fort Randall spring thru fall and might have to go fish below the dam just to get my fix

I've been on the river a few times fishing open water below some dams back home lately. Jig/minnow or minnow under slip bobber in deep holes hasn't been too bad.

How's blue lake doing? I see you're from onawa lol. Not to far from lonely salix ;p browns and snyder are looking like crap right now, but I might be able to do some open water fishing on friday if the thin layer of ice that was able to form melts

call me crazy but im thinking about mounting my power auger on back of my large otter sled . hope thats not the only way I wil be able to use it . fired power auger up in yard today . Think the neighbors thought it was a weed eaterLOL Cant wait to use it for real!!!!!!!!
