Not asking for spots. Just wanna know if its safe to fish either and if the fish are biting. Im gonna be staying at my buddies cottage on lee river and last winter we fished the river and caught nothing not even a bite so i want to make sure that doesnt happen again so we may go to lac du bonnet depending on the ice conditions

i havent been up there myself but i know lee river has been frozen for quite some time, id still be careful in a few spots where there would be current. ive never had much luck for walleye in the winter there, but im sure you could set up for pike and get some action, try hay bay creek if you have a sled or quad, but getting info on the ice to cross there would be a good idea, i personally dont go there till later in the season. good luck, sorry i couldnt be more help

Thanks for the info im thinking ill try the little creek/river at the end of pinawa bay it should have lots of ice and be the easiest spot to access and i would think i could set up some tip ups accross it and get some pike.

Is this the creek right near Cedarwood by any chance?

goes to coca-cola falls.......when I think about it, there are lots of depth changes/transitions at the "narrow" section going towards the falls.

Yes thats the one that im talking about that hits coca cola falls i would think from the looks of it there should be some pike in there maybe a few perch. I think its worth a try and probably safer then anything else

i have fished in front of the falls in the summer time and have caught pike, heard you can catch walleye there, but ive never caught there, summer time you have to get there before the party boats do, cause they just sit there and drink all afternoon

not sure on the depths, we were right in front of the falls fishing and along the rock that runs out from it, im guessing it was around 6-8 feet there

My buddy has been having a family birthday kids fishing derby party twice a year on the Lee. Once in Jan and again in Mar. For the past 5 years we have fished near the reef and drill holes from the deeper part 30 fow up to the reef 2 fow and have caught northerns, walleyes and perch.

Hey BBB, We'll be fishing that exact spot that week end, I suggest just before the boat launch on the north side, a bit of everything in there, If you see a few families out there come by so we can figure out what's working. (I'll have the blue polaris 800) Plenty of ice,  sleds buzzing on it for a while but always wise to be cautious

Could we park at the boat launch? we will probably be driving there in the truck so it would be nice to be able to park close to the river.
