The little lake right off to the right of the interstate? Just wondering thinking about fishing that tomorrow morning but not sure. Also anyone know what the ice conditions are?

Bluebill was still open last time I checked.  Cant imagine with the temps its got any better.  Fin and feather is the first to ice up I usually get on that first ice didnt this year looked super super low in the fall.  Prolly be hardpressed to find 6 ft in there.  The pit in the back is way deeper though cant member the name of it.  Seen a few shacks on dark pit today (across from big blue) there can be some nice gills and crappies pulled outta there at times pretty scuzzy water quality tho dunno if id eat any out of there after the glue spill. ;)

Yeh just west of there like 4 blocks.  Mapquest it you should see the 2 pits off pierce. I would fish the westernmost one beings there will be better ice. Should see old holes out there from people.

Hows ice up that way im heading that way next week never been there always go to boji instead and when we have ice down here I stay on a private perch lake . Hate this weather . Last year we had great ice caught perch from 10"-15" on private lake and 16.5" crappie and 12.25" bluegill on another small lake in southern iowa. You guys ever get down my way we are able to fish over a 100 farm ponds its crazy fun . No one down here ice fishes but my little group.
Never to many short poles

Buddy was on black pit yesterday and caught a few. Nothing like last year he said. Ive only fished it once a few years ago.
Some idiot was bragging last yr about taking over 500 big gillies out of black. He did the same thing to the winter holes on the cedar and its never been the same. Makes no sense to me?

The limit is 25 gills per day. I would hope he ate every single one of those 500 gills.  Otherwise yeh....

Ice is fading fast.....This weekend everywhere will be iffy up here.

Well knowing this clown & his buddies I dont doubt it a bit! The DNR had to be called 2 yrs ago at ice out because they were on the river every day for 9 days straight. Must not have known that cycleing guys in and out of the boat all day long is illegal! They moved to the shell rock after that and I can only guess did the same over there. Makes me sick.
I can only guess where all the fish went? $$$!  Hmmm. I eat fish very regularly and no way could we eat that much fish a yr. Makes you wonder how they get by when they dont work? Hmmmm?
