I started with a map. Available at Ace hardware in R.S. or G.R. Picked spots in the channel and drilled holes. Good Luck!

Have you had any luck with cats through the ice.  If so any size?

Few and far between. They are catchable. Biggest around 3.5lbs. Mostly luck while fishing for ling, IMO

you would have better luck fishing for kokanee or smallmouth bass in my opinion.  those cats at the gorge are a rarity.  i bet there are some big ones in there but good luck finding em.  tough!!!
in other parts of the state people catch em fishing for walleyes and perch but i never hear of people catchin any fishin for burbot.

If I was at the gorge, I'd be trying for a big laker or a bucket full of burbot. Sure the state record cat is from there, but that was quite a while ago
