Bed extension to carry all my gear!
«

Just for entertainment for you, function for me, here's a bed extension I made for the truck so I can get the four wheeler and the ice fishing sled/shack out to the lake without a trailer to worry about.
This was the weight check today, I can drive the quad up over the extension then pull the sled up behind it onto the extension.
whatcha think?
EDIT:
it made it to the lake...

Not enough ice or time... not necessarily in that order.

Nice rig! Now its time to hope, pray, and wish for the lakes to start putting on some good ice again! We only have what, 9 months? Is it too soon for a countdown?!

It kinda looks like the one that was on C.L. for a while? I need to get another wheeler, I miss having one. It looks like there is plenty of trails up in the hills to ride!!

I did get it off CL, the guy had it listed for SD in general, but did not show up in Rapid City searches...
There seems to be tons of trails, I was up there for the first time today and there are a bunch!
I always countdown to ice season again, and now I have another reason too!
Rumor I heard from the neighbor is a wheeler went through the ice and sheridan and pactola today!

Same here I dried out all of my gear and packed it and my trapping stuff up in the attic today. I live in new underwood and went to town and most lakes were 100% open and the dam by town was 50% open.

Got on Orman Friday. Edges were a little soft but the middle ice was still decent. Fishing wasn't bad either! I hope to get on the ice once more before the long rods come out.

Yep, I just went through all my ice gear and packed er away. It was a sad day for sure. And then we get a snowstorm that rekindled some flames. Never fails. But it was a good year, but I'm already looking forward to next year!

Loaded up and ready to rock! It made it to the lake and back without falling apart. So far so good...

Looks good. A friend has one that sits on top of the bed of truck n you drive fourwheelers on from the side. Then you have a bunch of room underneath them for storage. Looks top heavy though.

Yeah, I've seen them too, doesn't look like turning would work so well, especially with a couple ATVs or snowmobiles on them!
