East Vs. West
« on: Dec 15, 2011, 02:55 PM »
For those of you that fish both east river and west river lakes (by this I mean in the Black Hills region) which do you think is more of a challenge to fish.  I have never fished east river, but from what I have heard from my buddies that live east river, I think that the Black Hills is tougher fishing than east river.  Just a friend topic, not trying to start any trash, just curious to see how you feel.

having fished both east and west, the quantity and quality of fish east is better. There are also more lakes to choose from, and when one lake isn't on, it's not an hour trip to another one. So in that aspect it's easier east.

I grew up east river, moved to the hills about 10 years ago.  KingCat hit it on the head, more lakes = more opportunities for the bite to be on somewhere close to where you are.

I catch more fish west river on my yearly trip out there.  I do target trout though.  I just dont fish too much east river.  I want to this year though.
