1st of all welcome to Ice Shanty. There was a thread last yr. on this subject & there was link that gave a list of places to get ethanol free gas. Since then a lot of stations stopped suppling it. You also just go on line type in looking for ethonal free gas stations. It's going to get harder to find places to buy it.

I did an extensive search back in September. My ATV won't run on the corn oil crap, even with startron / stabil / etc. I found NO ethol free in the Capitol Region. The nearest is Utica. The ones mentioned on this thread no longer have it, according to the stations themselves. I called them. The only marina that has professionally stabilized gas is Blain's Bay Marina in Latham / Cohoes on the Mudhawk. Dunesbach Ferry Road.  Google them. Call before going there. They have very limited hours this time of year. My ATV does run on their gas, but I can't let it sit in the carb more than two weeks, or even it gums up the works. I'm sick of the high repair bills (almost a grand in a year) so now I drain the carb if she has to sit for more than two weeks. It's a pain, but cheaper than the repairs.

I don't know what ATV you have but I had the same problem w/my Yamaha grizzly, my dealer installed a carb. kit w/bigger chromed jets & that took care of my problem. I still put Startron in my gas.  Good luck!

Wow, what a pain in the butt!   I know the local motorcycle stealership sells racing fuel in 5 gallon containers.  They may also sell non ethanol gas as well. $$$$  It wouldn't hurt to check them out
The local landscaping supply shop around here also sells ethanol free gas in 1 gallon containers. Stabil sells a fuel additive for ethanol gas.

We had one station near me that sold it up till last September. According to HIM! He claims he cannot legally sell it for road use any more. I do not know the law but you might find real gas at an airport or motor speedway. All the marinas and filling stations here sell 10% ethanol these days.

I prefer my corn on the table and wish the politicians would dump this failed experiment. Ethanol is not cheaper and it is not better in any way except to subsidize farmers.
If I agreed with you we would both be wrong!

I'm in the Albany area and the only two stations that I found that had it here stopped selling it. We were also told they weren't allowed to sell it any more by law  >:(. One station on Rte 20 sells pretreated gas, my uncle likes it, I haven't used it yet.

None of the "stealerships" around here sells any type of fuel. Mine turned me onto the marina idea.

Yes, my guy suggested re-jetting the carb if I have further trouble. It is a suzuki Eiger 400. But, I have busted the bank for repairs this year. Maybe Santa can help out for the NEXT repair.

What you spend in re-jetting will pay for itself! ???

I just stopped at the atlas station in utica the ethanol free was 30 cents more per gallon(3.89), so it will cost a couple more bucks to fill the snowmobile but its better than running into problems out in the middle of the lake when its below zero or being somewhere in the backwoods of the adirondacks

The professionally stabilized gas at Blain's Bay Marina is even more than that (over $4.00, can't remember 'xactly). But, like you said, worth it to avoid the hassels.

The Country Store in Salisbury,NY has ethanol free gas for $3.89 a gallon. It's selling like hot cakes! Salisbury is 15 minutes north of Thruway Exit 29A (Little Falls).

Good to know. But, for me, north of Albany, the marina gas would be cheaper, because of the travel gas / time. The marina is only 10 minutes away. Little Falls is well over an hour away.  Thanks a lot!
