Ice jigs this summer

Who is using Ice Jigs for the softwater this summer??

I use ice jigs with maggots or small plastics under floats until the water temp gets above 55 degrees, then its just small bass assassins for the rest of the year for panfish.

I use them all the time...   Next week I will be using a Hot Head jig with a small piece of worm for stream trout...   Same jig we catch Crappies on all winter...

I never thought about it but that's a great idea.Now's the beginning of spring hatches and small works!I was just shore fishing a local reservoir using a small black rooster tail spinner and managed a 16" brown for supper.My kids love fresh fish and I released everything I got through the ice this year so we were due.I take them stream fishing in April and I'm going to keep those ice jigs on hand.

I put a row of Bentleys in my fly box for panfish.  Should work in a pinch.
