As some of you know and for those that don't, I had a tragedy happen 6 years ago at my camp on Ossipee Lake. I found my good friend's son, Kyle Robinson, under my dock. He had a seizure, fell into the water and drowned. His mother, aunt and my wife(all registered nurses) tried in vain to revive him. It was a horrific scene to say the least.

I try to raise money for his scholarship fund that goes to a boy and girl from his high school in Londonderry. For the last 5 years, Travis Williams from Coolwater Charters and AJ White from Lakes Region Charters run a Spring Gathering at the Lodge in Belmont NH.(March27th this year) They have opened their hearts every year and have allowed me to come and accept cash and tackle donations that I use for my own raffle. For the last 2 years they have stepped up and given me all the money they have collected for the raffle that they run during the gathering. I was wondering if any of you have access to any Sox,Celts,Pats, or Bruins tickets that you would like to donate for the raffle. All the money goes to the scholarship fund. Another thought I had was if there was a guide out there that would like to donate a 1/2 or full day charter. Tackle donations, money and sports memorobilia would be graciously accepted as well. Anyone that donates would be entered into the raffle and has an open invite to come and troll Ossipee for a day with their kid or by themselves.

I know times are rather tough right now, but I'd like to keep this worthy cause going. Thanks to all. JoeGG

Sorry, I must not have hit the send button. I haven't been to Loon, but plan on being there Sat am. I'll let you know if I'm going by Fri. Im doing a Adrien charter on fri and am planning on going to my camp afterward. Thanks so much for your offer. You're a good man. Joe

Joe - could you let us know what has been donated? I don't care who did what but it might draw an even bigger crowd if we know what the raffled prizes are!

So far there has been numerous $50 gift certs to various restaurants in the lakes region
_ an up to 4 person ice fishing charter(Fair Chase Guide Service)
_ 12 hand-tied lakes region flies
_ Complete fly rod set up with line
_ 2 rod cases
_ autographed baseball from Yaz
_ 2 Eagle Claw downrigger set-ups

I'm working on other items that haven't come to fruition yet that include Sox tickets, Autograph Celts memorobilia, Big Jon Downriggers and other tackle. I'll post as the items come in.

Joe we also have a pair of Big Jon Otter boats we will be donating some gift cert for dinning, tackle, down rigger release clips and much more. Sunday should be a great time. Sorry you can't make it this year.

Great. Yes, I have my sisters kid's christening I have to attend. But, I'll be going up on Sat to bring Travis the items I have for the raffle. He has a couple of Big Jon Downriggers as well. Lots of cool prizes this year.
