I'm going to be in Kalkaska all next week and I'm only looking for ice conditions up that way. Usually I hit Skekemog because generally it has good ice, although I never do very well there. But it's fun to see all the strange fishing rigs you see out there.

Any area condition reports are greatly appreciated.

JUST TALKED TO A FRIEND YESTERDAY. JUMBOS HAVE BEEN CAUGHT ON SKEGOMOG, WITH 1 17 INCH PERCH IN THE BUNCH. BAGGS LANDING, STRAIGHT OUT. HE MENTIONED IN SHALLOWER WATER? ITS BEEN A FEW WEEKS SINCE IVE BEEN THERE, ALL WE CAUGHT WERE DINKS. I THINK IM DONE ICE FISHING, NOT A VERY PRODUCTIVE YEAR FOR ME. ILL BE ON THE MANISTEE MONDAY SEEKING CHROME. GOOD LUCK.
