Pactola ice

I'm thinking about Pactola for this weekend coming up. Should I be worried about any areas that my dog might fall through? :tipup: He tends to wander off quite a ways from where I'm fishing.

No, but I plan to soon. I've been panfish hunting most of the year and Stockade perch have worms. I miss gator hunting with tip-ups tho, so I plan to do that soon at Stockade. :tipup: :tipup: :tipup:

I was at Pactola Friday and the ice was bad. Jenny Gulch had 30 ft of open water until you hit ice, the north boat launch had ice all around the edges and when I put my weight on the ice about 2 ft from shore I broke through. We didn't go to the south boat launch because we figured it was the same way. It was then off to Sheridan where they had good ice.

probably against my better judgement and my level of laziness, I actually drove on the ice last weekend from the north ramp. I do not advise that. my passengers and i were puckered up.

i fished towards the south side a couple of days ago and I bet there was 9-10 inches of ice.  never once felt unsafe
