Fairlee Rainbow

I fished with my buddy and fiance outside my cabin on fairlee this past saturday.  The wind was terrible.  Ended up with a bunch of pickerel, and missed tons of fish cause my cheap traps would get snow in the hole and not work.  I did get one treat though, a nice rainbow in about 7-8 feet of water.  It is my first trout through the ice (i started last year).  I was setting a trap right after i caught a pickerel and while the line was still in my hand i felt something nail the bait.  I assumed it was a pickerel but when i got it to the hole, MY FIRST RAINBOW THROUGH THE ICE!!! after that it was time to pack up, too buzzed and too cold to fish anymore.  it was still fun though.

hey fin nice bow! i would have been over but with the power out i was married to my stove besides the fact it was nasty!!!!!! you couldn't have paid me to fish in that wind, takes the fun right out of it! i was up but i kept the stove cranked curled up on the couch with my girl, had french toast and bacon and watched!!! ice fishing on tv

congrats nice fish.  i have yet to pull one up glad to know there still some in there.
