Summit Lake, WV

Fished there today for around 5 hours, 3.5 inches of good ice with another 1 to 1.5 inches of frozen slush on it. Fishing was pretty slow. I only landed 4 rainbows. Missed that many more though. Tight lines

Anyone heard any news on the ice at Summit?? I'm heading that way in the morning, I sure hope to stay top-side. I heard there was 10" of ice there a few weeks ago but was wondering about the edges, might have to walk the plank.

Ice at Summit is in fine shape, maybe 8-9" of clear ice with a 3-4" layer of slush and a few inches of white ice on top of that. I didn't have any luck, caught one largemouth maybe 13", didn't mark but a few fish on the Vex, my brother did manage to squeek out a limit on Powerbait though.
