I might be moving north in a few months, how is the fishing up there?  Is there good lakes within a reasonable drive from Minot?

Buffalo Lodge...25mi.east of Minot used to have good northern and perch. Lake Darling, north of Minot wallys and perch can be good or 75 mi. west is New Town and Lake Sacajawea...excellent walleye fishing.

Dont forget Lake Audubon.  Devils Lake isnt too far east.  You can get up early make it for a days fishing.

Heard Darling has been decent for perch this year but i know there releasing water now so ice conditions could be sketchy!
