WOW .I just checked this lake out. My dad and great uncle use to go there back in the 60's. I was about 14. We would load up the boat and trailor.Pack the stationwagon full, and head up there for a week of fishing. We use to go somewhere near some HI-Tension wires. Had to be carefull or you could end up in WIS.Brings back alot of memorys.Alot of pike and big gills. The bar would hold your fish for you to take home. Frozen. We would go to the dump to watch the black bears in th evening. Neat to see them take close.Mom has some super 8 movies of us. Do they still have the Big Indian? We were sitting on his feet as kids. Man was he big!!! Oh well, hope you catch a mess.

Still lots of pike and big muskies. Gill size has diminished. Some 9 inchers but more like 7 1/2 up to 8" Good perch and crappies and walleyes. Lots of bass.
Go to Google and type in Benz Camp and read the history of the Benz family where they supplied deer meat to feed the loggers. When deer ran out they fished. Filled a two wheeled trailer with smallmouth, EVERYDAY!!!!!!!!! I know of the power lines close to WI waters. Never saw the Big indian.
I'm off!

  Sounds like fun!!!  Good luck
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.
