Nice.  I was out there Saturday as well.  Got there at 3:00 and had a limit of perch by 5:00.

I hope the ice made it through the last couple of days.

Well maybe we will join you up the hill. I feel the need to fish. Will have the whole family with me, which means no time to concentrate on my fishing needs, will have to help bait and catch, and unhook gloves HEHE!! Or not. Let me know exactly what your up to. I would assume that you would be staying at the Allington?  ;)

Took my wife to Dowdy to ice fish for the first time (had a great day) and now she's hooked on ice fishing. We live close to Boyd and I'm new to fishing Boyd on the Ice and could use some pointers on where to fish for perch.  I want to keep her on the fish. Thanks for any help you can give me. :)

Does anyone in the Loveland area fish Carter Lake in the winter?
It seems to go from zero to hero all some have to do is lie.

I never did any ice fishing when I lived in Colorado and was curious. I moved to SD from Greeley in 1977 and have all the ice fishing I could ask for. Just too much snow to get on the lakes this winter. We did fish Carter almost every weekend during summer.

Made it back to Boyd on sunday morning, Jeremy and I caught about 40 perch that were 9-10" and I got a nice bow that was 18". The wind was blowing hard, almost had the sled take off at one point, the ice was 8" thick with lots of standing water when we left @ 11:00.

No fish were harmed in the making of this report
