4lb test.  Nice catch.  How long was the fight?  Do you also fish dead baits on the bottom?

The whole cove had a thin layer of ice on it, just enough to rest a tip up on it. I was fishing for crappie and walleye with a bait called a squirt, its a little minnow jig. And yeah he was hooked just right, I was extremely lucky. It must have been destiny, ye know. The ice was so thin i just kicked through it to fish the jig. That water behind me is all frozen, but barely. Lol!

Oh man it was! My freakin adrenaline was flowing hard when I hooked the fish and it didnt move and then took out about 40 yards of line and almost spooled me. My buddy has the whole thing on video. Im trying to get the vid and post it. we'll see what happens. Thanks for the interest!!!
