Newbie question

Hey this site is the bomb!!!  I'm getting back into ice fishing, haven't done it for 20yrs. My wife's uncle(newbie also) and I are full of P/V to fish. I'm heading to McBride this Sat, got my buckets, auger(craigslist rocks), couple of poles. I'm taking my 6yr old.  She has been out once with us (only time I've been out). I don't want honey holes but was looking for any veteran assistance to even get on 2inchers so she can catch some. She loves to fish!!   Any help is greatly appreciated.
