anyone fishing waterbury over by the dam?

thought about escaping the crowds and the wind over by the dam itself.any ideas about access, fow,and if its worth the walk? dont mind a long walk, i've fished at the beach and thats a long walk,just wondering if its worth the trouble

I used to have great luck there for rainbows and browns (right in the corner pocket) when they still plowed the road up to the access.  That's one long walk.  I've thought about doing it, but I'm afraid I'll be to tired to fish by the time I get up there.

Just be careful of the warm water springs in that back corner.
I know somebody that went right thru a couple years back.  It went from 2 inches of ice to 15 in no time.

Saw 2 guys fishing that area last Saturday, looked like they were jiggin perch. They neverr set any tip-ups.
