I will be watching this thread, I love fishing deseronto, have not been there this season, but would love to go this weekend. Great perch fishing while all the others chase walleye.

Last weekend there was between 4 and 8 inches near the yacht club. But we had that warm spell and more current will occur because of it. Be careful

Deseronto has some really sketchy ice right now.  There is lots of open water in the area.  Take care and be safe.

Well against Jeff's advice i headed down to Deseronto in search of some Jumbo perch. The ice was sketchy, the front of my whole was hald and thick as the back of the hole. I followed out the tracks of other fisherman, and my Jiffy cut way quicker then I would have liked, but it was black ice and I had no issues.

I always do well (perch not walleye). The area is an awesome perch fishery, and the guys catch some nice eyes during the morning and night bite. I was there again this weekend and got a nice wack of perch

I was at Deseronto this weekend, and was on about 5inches of black, with 1-2 inches of white.  I heard some guys complain about spots with less ice, so be carefull but there are plenty of guys out there and permanent huts as well

There are two good walk-on/parking area, one is at the Yacht Club head to Main st, and turn onto Mills street, follow it to the water. The other is at the actual boat launch off of Main st, it is a park, and there is a ton of free parking
