check it out for yourself, someone said something earlier about it. always be careful crossing from kilkare park to burton island, currents dont always allow for safe ice!

You want White Perch?  Check out Parker lake, its stiff with them and good ones too.  They cant leave black fly's alone. ;)

Like these.  Put a big sinker on the bottom of your line and one of these a foot above the sinker and another fly a foot above the first, tip with a maggot.  Works great for Yellow Perch too.  Yes the one in Glover.

Thanks for the help...I'll have to find some black flies somewhere and give 'em a try. Are you direct tying the black flies to the main leader/line or are you adding short tag lines for each of the two black flies??? Large sinker means half ounce or bigger??? ??? ???

Any fly fishing shop should have something that will work, I tie a Palomar knot to my main line for the top Fly.  I use a 1/2 oz Bell sinker to get it to where the fish are, good chance they will be suspended in the column as well as tight to bottom.

Toms Bait shop in Castleton has ice flies....I think he sells them in Brown, Red, Green and Black. They are very popular on Bomoseen and Lake George.
I think they are intented to look like a freshwater shrimp the perch hammer in the winter.

I picked up some black flies today and rigged up one of my poles as you described. Can't wait to give it a shot somewhere this weekend. ;D ;D
