I'm fairly new to using tip ups almost allways have jigged
how's the best way to keep my chub 5 to 6 in from spooling off line. i need some sort of a drag set up on my polar tip ups

just clip there tail with a knife or pliers.....leave it attached but cut 3/4 of the way through it. They will live all day but not set it off.
