To pull or not to pull the fish house....
« on: Feb 15, 2011, 05:53 AM »
With a week of mid to upper 40's forecast, and not quite freezing temps at night I am getting nervous about leaving the fish house out.  It should get could again but I just get nervous and don't want it to get stranded out there.  Should I even be worrying about it??  The lake has about 22" of ice with some snow pack.

I'd pull it, just so it doesn't freeze in.
For more information read my MN nice journal

We ended up moving it a bit closer to the access.  We didn't drill any holes however, don't want any more water than necessary around the house.  It's blocked up so we shouldn't have any issues.  It's supposed get cold again so hopefully it's not over yet.

i don't think we are done with hard water fishing yet.  supposed to get back cold this weekend.  Hope the ice doesn't have too much water on it though we are taking 40 cub and boy scouts out on sat for some fishing.

It shouldn't be too bad out there.  I know here in Waverly there is still some snow on the lake, but enough water in spots to want to wear rubbers if you don't have waterproof boots.  Down to 15 or something tonight and below freezing for awhile.
