Me and a buddy went out wed. and caught 8 in about 4 hrs. They were all small though. The bite was slow and there wasn't many guys out. I fished there a few times last year and did okay. The sizes were always smaller but they normally gave us good action. Hoping it will turn around soon!

We had a great year for crappie at Lake Storey. We use spoons to get the most aggressive fish but found that jigs with minnow heads work very well, too.  We have caught over 200 crappie this year.

Re you mainly fishing the dam at night? It seems every time we fish it the most action we get is after dark. We found the same with the spoons and jigs with a minni. Thanks for the info!

from the pillar by the dam go about 20 or 25 paces out and about 3 paces to the right. theres a hump theres a rocky hump out there thats about a 5ft depth change. sorry i cant give better location. the hump runs parallel to the dam. hope it helps somebody out cuz i havent fished it yet this year.

I generally veer right from the pillar crowd like due south.  I'd like to hit the swim beach area east sometime.

We do fish by the dam. We haven't really wandered around too much.  We heard that some guys were over from Moline.  They spent about 24 hours on the ice and ended up getting a big walleye.

Went out to night from 4pm to 9pm. We caught 4-6"crappies. The bite was slow and small. Saw alot of fish just nothing really biting. We were fishing by the piliar in 32FOW. Heard a few guys say they weren't doing any better.
 Good Luck!
