Quartz Today 1/23

Fished all day caught 3 salmon about 14" long and it didn't get above -30 all day, did see some nice bows on the camera but they werent interested in a free ride to the surface.   ;D

the bottom sure dropped out of the thermometer saturday night - it was colder than -40* at birch

When I drove past Birch the thermometer in my truck went to ******** which it does at -40, did you catch anything?

With the forecast supposed to be single digits above zero it was very rude of the temps to plummet to colder than 40 below! 

We found some small to mid-sized char (mid-sized for birch!) and a few smaller rainbows - no bite at all without the sun though...at least we're getting more light now!

Troopers were out, which was nice to see - I don't think I saw them once last year.
