Dragon?
« on: Dec 03, 2010, 04:29 PM »
Just thought I would check before making the drive. Has anyone been down to Dragon Lake recently? I am curious how the ice is looking after that warm spell ???.

I drove by there on my way back from moving my aunt to Clinton about 6 days ago. It looked frozen right accross on the end I could see from highway. So with all the cold temps at night it wouldn't of melted ;)

The ice was good and thick, in most places. but if your going out be careful there are still wet spots and soft spots.

Well when I was out the fishing was great. However it has been a while and the last group of friends that headed down there only caught a couple so she looks to be slowing down... as is normal for this time of year.  :'(

Just went down last saturday. The fishing has started to slow down but we managed to do alright. The ice is still nice and clear but very thick so take a hut with you if you got one.

I went to a lake in the Quesnel area on the weekend with my brother (not Dragon). We caught 6 in about 3 hours mostly in the 2 lb range.
The biggest was 19", weighing in at 2 lb 12 oz.
