My Buddy  fished off Camp Perry monday, nothing. Fished southwest of West Sister Is. tuesday,nothing. Said ice is terrible would not go back.

fished 9 hrs 3 of us off crane creek 4 miles out marked a few fish hooked 5 and lost 5 froze our ass off fish aint there yet another couple of weeks

Go 6 miles 26 fow rapalas , and jig-whoppers tipped w/minnows , pound the bottom with the raps , and jig the whoppers , bout 2' up and higher went tues from 3-6 and got 11 , really turned on at 5 , hope this helps.peace

Six of us went out of Crane Creek this morning. Missed alot, lost alot, and we came off with 28 on top of the ice. Alot of fish would come up and follow our jigs but wouldn't take. Raps tipped with minnows did the trick. Several different colors worked. 24 fow. If we had the stones to move around we probably would have limited out, but the shanty was too nice and warm to leave.

hessey, going out for the the first time bringing my quad have all the gear just looking for a good spot !! can i get out there safely on  4 wheeler or should i plan on walking ? any help would be great !! a pm  would work thanks for any help !!

just called the coast guard.#313-568-9587 they ran one from detroit to cleveland last night. shipping channel is open. i was ready to go today.but not with the sw wind.give me the next northerly wind and i'll be down there.

Was out today.Lot of snow on the ice.We were pulling a trailer,it was rough going pulling that trailer!Got stuck a couple times.Then there is lots of slush close to the shore.Snowmobiles had no trouble.Be careful out there.

can anyone tell me how to get to crane creek? my brother is on his way there now and he has a quad. Also he is by himself. IF ANYONE WANTS TO GO WITH P.M. ME AND I WILL CALL HIM.
HE HAS NEVER BEEN OUT THERE. He is a VERY GOOD ice fisherman!!!!

Yea I want to know how big of a crack opened up after all this wind ?

Was out of Crane today.  Be really careful if you go out.  Fresh crack that was about 3.5 to 4.0 miles was open about 5 yards this morning.  It did push close in the matter of about 10 seconds.  Another crack about 4.5 miles to 5.0 miles out and this was a big one.  Was anywhere between 45 yards to 60 yards open.  Ice was really moving out there with that wind.  Few people out.  Would not tell anybody to go out there that has never fished Erie before.  Slush was also a big problem.  Dont see it being good at all this weekend.  Was going to go look at Catawba just to get an accurate report, but it got dark.  If you go out please be careful.  No Walleye worth dieing for!
