where is this lake and do they let you ice fish it i herd it got musky's over 50in in it

To quote one of the hillbillies in Deliverence: "it's only the biggest damn lake in the state" lol

Greenwood like is 1/2 in NJ and 1/2 in NYS in West Milford Passaic county and Orange county NY.It is big enough to show up on most maps.

 NJ or NYS fishing license is ok on both ends of the lake. If you fish the NYS side you must have a reciept for your bait from an approved bait shop.  

Yes you can fish it and yes there are muskies as well as most other common species.

I do best there setting the tip-ups so the the bait is just below the ice.

There isn't much public access though. The best access is in a West Milford township park on the West shore of the lake. There are a lot of marinas some will not allow access others (mostly on the NYS side) want to charge you an expensive fee to park.

There is a lot of snowmobile traffic on the lake....I have had tip-ups run over my snomo's there.
