pikefishing in colorado through the ice is almost impossible. I have been getting a few lately at crawford though. In most lakes, colorado pike go deep and dormat. Taylor reservoir, a lake with a bunch of pike, a pike has never been iced during ice season. At crawford I was getting them off of a rocky dropoff in about 18 ft. of water on a 5" dead perch or anchovy. Sometimes I get some on perch jigs too. Crawford is the only lake I have had much success ice piking. Ask a few more questions in the west forum and maybe in the pike forum and you will get some answers. In case you didn't notice this is a trout forum. my running theory of why they don't bite is we have low dissolved oxygen levels in our lakes because we are high altitude.
