I have heard that Big Lake has skim ice and might have some good ice by the weekend.  Will also check out Round Lake this weekend.

Out from the ramp at crooked is all iced up.  It almost looked like the entire lake was locked up with skim but it was hard to tell from the road.  Big lake was locked up.  I didn't check ice thickness at either lakes, but I would bet they will be good by the weekend.

Is fishing at Big Lake good by the ramp or back by the grocery?

I've only fished it once on the third basin, which isn't near either of those areas.

Not sure if anybody saw this.  If they change the rule, I wouldn't mind fishing it again and taking home some small bass for the deep fryer.

I fish big lake probably 80 percent of the time when I ice fish and I talked to a guy at work who lives on the lake that siad his old man was out there fishing on Wednesday and there was 2 inches but it was a solid 2 inches. I plan on hitting Big Lake this weekend for some big perch. ;D
