Those things are so fun to catch - good eating too. Some of my fondest memories growing up were late-ice (Feb/March) perch fishing in MN. Nice Fish!

Wow, I did not know there were perch in Pool 9 and certainly wouldn't think they would be that large. Impressive catch.

Yea, pool 9 is known quite well to have some nice perch, especially ice fishing.

My best perch is year was only 12.5" it's a lot smaller than the ones I caught last year 14" on perch an 1-1/2" is a lot of weight difference but I did manage 11 perch on Sunday

Sunday I fished a lake that generally has nice perch and got skunked on perch but scored a limit of 11-12" crappies . Sunday the fishing was weird because generally there's a lot of smaller crappies mixed in with the bigger ones but only threw back 3 9-10" crappies all day
